چکیده

This article evaluates the impact of different fiber types on flexural creep self-compacting concretes (SCC). The study focuses effects vegetable fibers (Hemp, [H] and Dis [D]) synthetic (Polypropylene [P]) SCC. To assess SCC, various tests such as spreading, J Ring, compressive strength, strength are conducted. authors developed a test configuration methodology to subject beams measuring 120 cm in length sustained stresses for 200 days. Two curing modes also studied: total (beams exposed air) endogenous protected from air). Moreover, plant were previously subjected two treatments separately; first involves immersing them 5% alkaline solution NaOH (HN DN) second polymer styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) (HS DS). findings show that treatment by SBR reveals high mechanical properties well good capacity creep. SCC-DS shows an increase 9% 13% with decrease 4% 16% compared SCC without SCC-DN, respectively. These results promising further reflection large scale explore issue strengthening treated fibers.

Strain and Damage Sensing Property of Self-compacting Concrete Reinforced with Carbon Fibers

Present paper investigated the strain and damage sensing property on concrete cubes embedded with carbon fibers. Concrete cubes of dimension 150 mm have been casted with different concentration of carbon fibers to study the strain and damage sensing property under cyclic loading that can be further used for health monitoring as non-destructive testing (NDT) approach. All the specimens were test...

Mechanical Behavior of Self-Compacting Reinforced Concrete Including Synthetics and Steel Fibers

This paper investigated the effects of combining fibers with self-consolidating concrete (SCC). 12 series of test specimens were prepared using three kinds of fibers including steel, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) and glass fibers with four different volumes fractions and one specimen without fibers as a reference sample. All plans were subjected to fresh concrete tests. For mechanical behavior of...

Flexural Behavior of Cementitious Composites Reinforced by Synthetic Fibers

The application of fibers to reinforce cementitious materials is a well-known subject. At first, asbestos fibers are used in industrial process to produce fiber reinforced cement sheets. Thereafter, various types of synthetic fibers are produced and used as asbestos substitutes. The aim of the present work is to evaluate the effect of synthetic fibers on the flexural behavior of cementitious co...

Experimental Investigations on The Flexural Strength of PET Reinforced Concrete

Due to the rapid industrialization taking place globally, the problems generated are acute shortage of construction material and increasing in productivity of wastes. The production and consumption of plastic and the rate at which solid plastic waste (SPW) are created have increased considerably. Plastics constitute 12.3% of total waste produced most of which is from discarded water bottles. Th...

Estimation of mechanical and durability properties of self-compacting concrete with fibers using ultrasonic pulse velocity

In this research, the performance of ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) in concrete is examined as a nondestructive experiment in order to estimate mechanical (compressive and tensile strength) and durability (water absorption) properties of fiber-reinforced self-compacted concrete For this purpose 11 mixture designs containing 3 types of fibers (steel: 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 percent by volume, Pol...
